ArginMax Answers Questions About Sexual Enhancement Pills

Over the last 9 years, we've received thousands of inquiries on how ArginMax compares to other products. Of greatest concern are consumer questions regarding effectiveness and safety. This page provides unbiased information from credible sources to help you make your decision.

Be careful of products that promise immediate results: Legitimate nutritional supplements, like ArginMax, that improve sexual health and performance do it over time by improving a person's physiology. Anything that promises results immediately after only taking one or two doses are suspect and may be very dangerous. Here is a direct quote from the United States Food and Drug Administration (US FDA):

FDA Warns Consumers About Dangerous Ingredients in "Dietary Supplements" Promoted for Sexual Enhancement.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is warning consumers not to purchase or consume Zimaxx, Libidus, Neophase, Nasutra, Vigor-25, Actra-Rx, or 4EVERON. These products are promoted and sold on web sites as "dietary supplements" for treating erectile dysfunction (ED) and enhancing sexual performance, but they are in fact illegal drugs that contain potentially harmful undeclared ingredients.

These products have not been approved by FDA, and there is no guarantee of their safety and effectiveness, or of the purity of their ingredients.

Another product that has recently gained the attention of the national press is Enzyte and Avlimil Complete.

The owners of the company were indicted on September 21, 2006 for fraud schemes related to the sale of their products.

Avoid Products Containing Yohimbe: Here is a direct quote from the United States Food and Drug Administration (US FDA):

Yohimbe is a tree bark containing a variety of pharmacologically active chemicals. It is marketed in a number of products for body building and "enhanced male performance." Serious adverse effects, including renal failure, seizures and death, have been reported to FDA with products containing yohimbe and are currently under investigation.

The major identified alkaloid in yohimbe is yohimbine, a chemical that causes vasodilation, thereby lowering blood pressure.

Yohimbine is also a prescription drug in the United States. Side effects are well recognized and may include central nervous system stimulation that causes anxiety attacks. At high doses, yohimbine is a monoamine oxidase (MAO) inhibitor. MAO inhibitors can cause serious adverse effects when taken concomitantly with tyramine-containing foods (e.g., liver, cheeses, red wine) or with over-the-counter (OTC) products containing phenylpropanolamine, such as nasal decongestants and diet aids. Individuals taking yohimbe should be warned to rigorously avoid these foods and OTC products because of the increased likelihood of adverse effects.

Yohimbe should also be avoided by individuals with hypotension (low blood pressure), diabetes, and heart, liver or kidney disease. Symptoms of overdosage include weakness and nervous stimulation followed by paralysis, fatigue, stomach disorders, and ultimately death.

Be careful of products that do not have published clinical studies on exact formulations: ArginMax was the first nutritional supplement on the market with a double-blind, placebo controlled-study demonstrating its efficacy. A double-blind, placebo-controlled study is considered the "gold standard" of scientific research in demonstrating effectiveness. Very few nutritional supplements can make this claim. Many competitor products try to pass off third-party studies on some of the ingredients in their product as "clinical studies".

This provides no reassurance that their products work.
